Full Remodel
The room stripped back and rebuilt, usually six to twelve weeks of construction once the cabinets arrive
Cabinet Refacing
New doors, drawer fronts and veneered face frames over cabinet boxes that are still sound, at roughly a third of replacement cost
Custom Cabinets
Cabinetry built to the room rather than to a catalogue grid, which is what a two-storey Sugar Land kitchen with an immovable soffit usually needs
Countertops
Templated after the cabinets are set, fabricated off site, and installed on a run that has been levelled first
Islands
Adding an island, or replacing one that is too small, too tall or in the wrong place for how the kitchen gets used
Open Plan
Taking down the wall between a closed 1980s kitchen and the family room, which is the single most common structural request in this market
Small Kitchens
Galley and townhome kitchens where every inch of run is spoken for and the win comes from storage rather than square footage
Four steps, each with a clear outcome, so you always know what happens next.
1
Call or use the quote form. What you want done, the rough budget if you have one, and where the house is. Two minutes, and it costs nothing.
2
We pass the project to a vetted local kitchen remodeler, who calls to talk through what you are after and set a time to see the room.
3
They measure the run, look at the cabinet boxes, the slab and the panel, then send a written price split across cabinetry, counters, appliances and labor.

The guides on this site cover Houston-area pricing, city permits, cabinet lead times and the decisions that move the final number, so the quote makes sense when it arrives.
Sugar Land was built quickly, in named waves, and almost all of it was built the same way: a concrete slab poured directly on Gulf Coast clay. That one construction decision shapes what a kitchen remodel in Sugar Land costs more than any design trend does.
In a house with a crawl space, the drain line under a kitchen sink hangs where a plumber can reach it, and moving the sink four feet is an afternoon. Under a slab the same drain is cast into the structural floor. Moving it means locating any post-tension tendons first, saw-cutting the concrete, breaking out a trench, running new pipe at the correct fall, then patching and waiting on the patch. Same four feet, several thousand dollars and several days.
So the useful first question about a Sugar Land kitchen is not which door style you like. It is whether the drains have to move at all. Plenty of these rooms improve enormously without touching plumbing: cabinetry that uses its depth, a hood that vents outside, and lighting that reaches the counter instead of the floor.
Sugar Land is not one housing market. A 1974 Sugar Creek house, a 1993 New Territory two-storey and a 2015 Riverstone plan are three different kitchen projects with three different constraints, and the useful first question is which one you have.
Outside the city, the same kitchen remodeling work runs across Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond, Rosenberg, Katy and the rest of Fort Bend County. See every service area.
Homeowners moving here from California, Virginia or Florida often go looking for a state contractor licence number and cannot find one. That is because Texas does not license general contractors or remodelers at state level. There is no state register for the remodeling company itself.
What Texas does license is the trades inside the job. Electricians and air conditioning contractors are licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which publishes a free licence search. Plumbers are licensed separately by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, which publishes its own. Both lookups take about a minute and are open to anyone.
The practical effect is that the paperwork trail on a Texas kitchen runs through the permit rather than through a state licence. A permitted job is inspected by the city, and the trade work inside it is done by people the state has licensed. The full picture is in the kitchen notes.
Cost, the slab, permits, timelines and Texas licensing. The five things that decide what a Sugar Land kitchen project turns into.
